Yassine Mehl has played on Real Mandarin’s Open team for a little more than two years. He recently completed a trial for a professional club in the Carolinas, and has a couple more trials coming up. In addition to being a great player, teammate, and friend, Yassine will hopefully realize the dream that every member of Real Mandarin has had, or accomplished, to play the game we love professionally.

4 months agoReal Mandarin FC Over 30 side played to a 1-1 draw v. Apocalypse SC in the 2009 Spring season opening match for both clubs.
Pulling to a draw was quite a feat for Real as they played the majority of the second half a man down on the pitch, and two down as another was ejected from the field. This followed another questionable caution and a lecture from the referee to the coaching staff after an unsolicited verbal barrage from a referee assistant. Real will file a protest with the league concerning the matters at hand.
Fernando Mancuello hit the equalizer on a free kick from the top of the penalty area with less than five minutes from full time on a looping shot over the wall to the left post that caught the keeper out of position.
Play in the match was spirited on both sides in this rematch of teams from last Fall’s Semi-Final Playoff match, with a fast paced and physical style of football from each club.
